Greeting Songs and Body Awareness
A child’s name is his/her identity. To greet a child by calling him/her name is a pleasing greeting and an affirmation of the child’s personhood. Singing each name identifies, calls attention to the child and acknowledges their presence in the beauty of a musical setting.
Naming, touching, and moving the parts of the body put the child in touch with the whole body, its sensations and how it feels.
Join us for the session that will cover both of these wonderful and important topics in early childhood music development.
