Mindfulness in Early Childhood Music
Mindfulness is the basic human ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we’re doing, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around us. So how do we apply this to an early childhood music class?
Mindfulness.... When we are conscious of the potential impact of an activity in our music class, the resulting effect on the child is enhanced. This enhancement assumes our mindful presence to what we are doing and why. By staying mindful, our emotional energy will add the stimulus to motivate vigorous participation!
The circle can be completed...
Mindful use of music can answer all the child's needs!
